The Prince William Crime Prevention Council is a non-profit 501-(C)(3) organization comprised of citizen volunteers and law enforcement. The Council was established in 1982 for the exclusive purpose of promoting the common good and social welfare of the citizens of Prince William County by:
Promoting the effective operation of Neighborhood Watch programs under the auspices of the Prince William County Police Department.
Providing a forum and a voice for the exchange of ideas pertaining to the reduction and prevention of crime.
Maintaining a speaker's bureau for the purpose of educating residents in crime prevention.
Serving as a liaison between the Police Department and the citizens and businesses of Police authorized watch programs.
